On Saturday 3rd December we travelled to the small village of Camrose in Pembrokeshire to see the UK's first Masked Wagtail from Central Asia. It is a split from White Wagtail, is a small passerine bird with a white face and is usually found in Kazakstan, Iran and Afghanistan - hardly places that are easy to birdwatch in!
It was a really stunning bird that we managed to get great views of on the rooftops and also feeding on mealworm put out for it by birders. Another fabulous bird of the autumn.
It was also lovely to see and chat to lots of birding friends, which makes it a sociable hobby.
