Day 4 - A walk into Compton Woods, at the top of our land, onto the Mendip escarpment.

Day 6 - Demonstrating the ringing (banding) of a beautiful Blackbird at Chew Valley Ringing Station to 17 young people (but old to me!) from Bristol Nature Network.

Sunday 7th June 2015
Day 7 - After climbing up through Compton Wood, I turned right to admire the natural view looking down from the Mendip escarpment, over our house towards Chew Valley Lake.
Although I often go out birding, it was great to enjoy wildlife everyday but in a different way. A great first week

Mya-Rose Craig is a 13 year old young birder, conservationist, environmentalist, activist, writer and speaker. She is based near Bristol, UK and blogs about birding and conservation from around the world.
