Uganda 9 August 2015
I have not been able to upload photographs to my, blog without wifi or decent band width but will add photographs to my blog post as soon as I can.
We are having the most brilliant time in Uganda with ever great. Our trip was organised by our local ground agents Avian Watch Uganda. Everything is going really well with Robert, our fantastic guide (who knows all the sites and calls and can whistle birds in) and Paul, our driver and fixer, for who nothing was too much.
Last night we had stayed in Buhoma again, 3 nights in a row which made a change from moving on everyday. It was relatively high there, making it comfortable and a little chilly at night.
Today, we were travelling from the north side of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to Ruhija on the south side, travelling through The Gap and birding all the way around.
We arrived at Ruhija in the afternoon and I had a nap for the first time ever. We were much higher here and it was really cold. The bed had fleece bedding which made a difference.
Before dinner, we went out birding on the only school trail to target some endemics. We did really well seeing – need to add these
By dinner, I was really cold despite my I layers. The only thing to do was go to bed, where I found a nice surprise – a hot water bottle with a fleece cover - perfect!
